Something cool my classmates started doing since we are on campus for lab all the time (twice a week currently) is Snack Club. The person in charge sends out a GoogleDoc for people to sign up each lab day to bring a snack. It started in the spring when we had back to back labs on back to back days, so we were essentially on campus 4-5 hours straight with no break. Enter Snack Club! Such a great idea. Here's the first snack I shared with my classmates.
Makes: 36 servings
Prep/Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups halved pretzel sticks
2 cups corn Chex
1 1/2 cups M&M’s
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
5 cups miniature marshmallows
In large bowl, combine pretzels, cereal, and
M&M’s. In large saucepan over low heat, melt butter and peanut butter. Add
marshmallows, cook and stir until marshmallows are melted and mixture is
smooth. Pour over pretzel mixture; stir to coat. Press
into a greased 13x9 pan. Cool until firm, cut into squares.
Helpful Hint:
Grease hands before pressing mixture into pan as mixture is
very sticky!
